Fuukan no Grasesta

We've decided to undertake an interface translation for Eushully's newest game: Fuukan no Grasesta.

However, the dialog translation of Amayui Castle Meister will not be affected as our members that are working on that will not be working on Fuukan no Grasesta (at least not for now).

This new game seems to have a lot of original creature/item/etc names, exclusive to this game, so that will increase the time it will take to complete the interface translation.

Furthermore, we will not use the terribly translated names by Eushully for characters.

Regards,
Zoltanar

  1. You say you won't be using Eushully's official translation for the names because it's terrible but, from what I checked, all names are quite accurate except for maybe the MC's which is ジェダル but for some reason was translated as Judar instead of Jedar.

Honestly, I don't see a reason for not using their official romanization for the names this time around.

Anyway, thanks for doing another interface translation. You guys rock!

    1. There's a lot of names where Eushully's romanization is either missing sounds or has different sounds altogether, for example Rosalind's last name ヘフネル (Hefuneru) is translated as Haeffer, and ダルフィア (Darufia) is translated as Dulphia.

    2. Dulphia is supposed to be pronounced as "Dalfia" though, so I don't see what's the problem with its romanization. Don't forget that foreign names are spelled in katakana as they are read in their original language.

By the way, I think you guys got the process backwards. Eushully chooses foreign names/surnames to use in their game and then they try to convert those into katakana. So, rather than saying their romanization sucks, it would be more accurate to say that they messed up in converting those names to katakana.

PS: Just for the record, names/surnames such as "Dulphia" and "Haeffer" actually exist.

  2. This game looks more in the line of the ikusa megami series than Kamidori, which is a shame because the Kamidori style is much better in my opinion, is the Castle Meister partial patch still schedule for this month ? Really apriciate you guys doing god's work and can't wait for the grind XD (don't mean to rush, take all the time in the world)

    1. Amayui's took around a whole month, so you can probably expect this one to be released around Christmas/New Year.
